REED has used an innovative inventory management system that is unique to the garment manufacturing industry for over 50 years. This program has helped some of REED’s largest customers better service their customers while reducing their overall costs.
Some of the highlights to this program are:
- Ability to deliver high levels of customer service focused on turnaround times to the customers
- In plant or central supply stockrooms with an emphasis on merchandise cost control
- Reduction of accumulating inventory on slower moving items through Reed Forecasting

Garment Customization
REED has the unique ability to customize all stock garments locally in its Tupelo, Mississippi Distribution Center. There are over 130 active retrofit codes available to REED customers today. A few of the more common examples are:
- Custom Reflective tape – We add ANSI rated FR and non-FR reflective tape to shirts, pants and coveralls on a daily basis.
- Hemming
- Adding additional pockets inside or outside to Food Processing Coats
- Personalization – We have the ability to sew on company and name emblems or have garments direct embroidered.
- RFID – We have the ability to add RFID chips to garments prior to shipping
Custom Garments
REED specializes in making custom or made to order garments with extremely low minimums. These garments can be REED branded or private label and both FR and non-FR.
